Our B-Drug free event took place this last Sunday at our San Jose center. The event started with a small "baptchura competition"and our Singing Challenge. The winners for the challenge were: 1st Place - Judah (Sacramento), 2nd Place - Israel (San Jose), and 3rd Place Dan (Santa Rosa).
However, the main purpose of the event was, of course, to reveal the true consequences of drug addiction and the negative effects it has on the lifes of people, especially youths. Jasmine Montes, who has been participating in the YPG for three months now, shared with us her testimony on how she was able to overcome drugs and her low self-esteem when she decided to seek God's help.
Towards the end, Pastor Luis prayed for the youths who were tired of the life they were leading and wanted the help of God in order to abandon any addicitons. To complete and close the event, everyone watched the outstanding performance of the "Set Me Free" Musical skit by the Revelation Drama Group.
Once again, the YPG got through its message that "fun" is not destroying your life through thoughtless actions, but instead, taking care of your present in order to guarantee yourself the best future!!!
