Yesterday a Street Dance Challenge took place at our UCKG center in San Jose. More than two-hundred youths were present to watch the groups battle each other. The atmosphere was very up beat and energetic, with everyone cheering and enjoying themselves while watching the competition.
The churches that participated in the challenge were: Madera, Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose, and Santa Rosa. As a result, our center was filled with youths who proved that hard work and talent, is the perfect combination for reaching their full potential. Well done guys!
Also, we had the exclusive presence of four respected judges to evalute the presentations. From Telemundo, Mr. Omar, professional photographer and talent watcher, Miss Cindy, street dance instructor and professional dancer, Jose Luis de la Peña a.k.a. Spacewalker, and last but certainly not least, from Radio Raza, Ms. Monica. A special thank you to all them for their willingnes to come down to our church as our guest judges. Their participation was the key to making this event serious and successful!
Towards the end of the event, a cell phone, mp3 player, and sweet, sweet Ipod were raffled off to the youths. The lucky winners who took the prizes home were: David from Oakland (cell phone), Glady from San Jose (mp3 player), and Veronica from Sacrament (Ipod).
What an afternoon! The Street Dance Challenge Event was excellent. Music, talent, and fun, were part of a day that will leave it's mark in the history of Northern California's YPG. But above everything and everyone, we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the oportunity of putting together such an event. It's because of Him that our youth group is, and will keep growing and becoming stonger with each effort we make. Get ready people, this is only the beggining!!!!

It was cool to see all of the movements of all those guys...wow they were awsome!!!! Loved it.
